This impressive fossil tooth comes from a Mosasaur, the formidable marine reptile that ruled the oceans during the Late Cretaceous. Measuring over 2.25 inches (5 cm) in length, the specimen displays the classic conical shape, smooth preserved enamel, and earthy matrix at the base. Fine surface striations highlight its natural preservation and lend a lifelike quality to the fossil. With its sharp, tapering point, the tooth offers a glimpse into the fearsome bite of this prehistoric predator-and just in time for "spooky" season.
