One of the more spectacular vertebrate offerings in this catalog - and there are many of them - is this most appealing yet very unusual skull on a custom base. The oddity is the skull of an Ichthyosaur out of matrix that has been prepared to display as a highly three-dimensional object. The dark brown skull has a very elongated snout with thin, pointy teeth up and down a prevalent mouth. Gray matrix has filled in the interior spaces of the very cool looking specimen that exhibits very little, if any, restoration. This is a major display specimen worthy of any finer collection of aquatic Jurassic vertebrates or even a museum.
