    More Information: One of the founding members of the Pop Art movement in America.  Wesselman was influenced by image in advertising,  His work is characterized by flat colors, clean lines, and the highly stylized presentation of the female figure.  In 1961, Wesselman began his most noted series, "The Great American Nude".  His work can be found in the collections of many major museums including the Dallas Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C., and the Guggenheim Museum, New York, among others.
