By descent to the present owner.
The owner of this work was David Hockey's student at the University of Colorado in Boulder during the summer of 1964. He was also the director of an experimental cinema group. David Hockney created this work for the groups' summer film series along with another student Dale Chisholm. At the end of the summer, Hockney moved from Colorado to New York and gave the owner the work in exchange for a car rack for his overloaded car. Hockney signed the work on the hood of his car before he left for the East Coast.
There appears to be overall paper discoloration throughout with some scattered water stains; a few spots of minor surface soiling; otherwise, the work appears to be in good condition; not examined outside of frame. Framed under acrylic. Framed Dimensions 40 X 38.5 Inches
