    PROVENANCE:
    Private collection, California and New York;
    Thence by descent to the present owner.




    Condition Report*: Riding crop is absent; metal dowels for attachment are still present on the palms of the figure's hands. Repaired break on the figure's proper right wrist. Verdigris and dust accumulation in the recesses and on the base. Some scuffing, minor scratching, and rubbing to bronze areas. Some yellow discoloration to sealant in areas where the bronze meets the marble, particularly at the top of the bodice area. Small spot of darkened accretion on the top of the figure's head. A few scattered small dots of yellowish accretion to the marble upper.
