Nikolai Timkov's work has become the standard for Russian landscape painting in the latter half of the twentieth century. From his training at the Moscow Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture to his exhibition at the the Smithsonian Institution in the United States, Timkov's work is recognized worldwide.
