    The National Museum of Modern Art, Toyko, The Memorial Art Exhibition of the Works of Yasuo Kuniyoshi, organized under the auspices of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, 1954, cat. no. 46, p. 6 as "lent anonymously."

    Sara M. Kuniyoshi, the widow of Yasuo Kuniyoshi, organized a 72-work retrospective of her late husband's work to be shown in Japan. Her initials "S.M.K." are written in pencil on this drawing.
