    PROVENANCE:
    Sotheby's, New York, October 28, 2003, lot 167.

Condition Report*: Glue-lined canvas. Under UV light there are two areas of inpaint which correspond to stretcher bar marks of the central horizontal stretcher bar: a line of inpaint 1/8 x 1 1/2in under the girl's nose and another area measuring 1/2 x 3in just below in her bodice and sleeve. There are areas of inpaint scattered throughout her dress and inpaint to her left hand. There is an area that fluoresces in tree trunk near the hook for the hammock, however, this may be due to later reworking by the artist rather than restoration. There is some inpaint to frame abrasion at top edge and lower right side edge. Framed Dimensions 53.5 X 43 X 3.5 Inches
