Morning Light resembles Nadine Averill, the artist's first wife, who was herself an artist. The couple married in 1935, a year after this work was painted.
Unlined canvas; surface grime commensurate with age; there appears to be craquelure with a few tiny flakes of loss. Retains original natural wood Roysher frame in which the artist exhibited it throughout his life. Framed Dimensions 41.75 X 41.75 Inches
