    According to a label verso and an inscription on the frame, this painting won first prize ($500) at a national painting competition in Chicago, Illinois in 1921.


    Condition Report*:

    Wax-lined canvas. Faint minor craquelure in the center left and upper center quadrants. Paint layer is stable. Under UV examination, no evidence of restoration. The painting retains a period frame. Framed Dimensions 23.5 X 27.5 Inches
