Aaron Gorson was one of the first members of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and showed regularly with the group beginning in 1910. Gorson moved to New York in 1921 and began painting scenes of the city and views of the Hudson River. Throughout his career, Gorson had the ability to find beauty in the most unlikely of subjects and continued to romanticize the industrial landscape.
