    Jody Dean is an Emmy award-winning, 35-year veteran of television and radio who is currently on air at KLUV 98.7. A native of Fort Worth, Jody began his career in 1973 at WBAP-TV Channel B (NBC 5). Dean arrived at Dallas' legendary KVIL Radio in 1981, where he stayed for 13 years before moving to News radio 1080 KRLD in 1994. Dean joined CBS 11 TV in 1995, where he hosted a daily talk show and anchored the noon and 4 o'clock news. A member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, Dean has been on the air in North Texas longer than any other active local broadcaster and was the public address announcer at the new 100,000-seat Cowboys Stadium.

    Dallas Challenge was founded in 1984 when concerned civic leaders came together to identify and address a critical need - adolescent substance abuse. Today, there are still youth from our community dealing with this and other critical issues like truancy - issues that are negatively affecting their futures. Since inception Dallas Challenge has helped over 147,000 youth in programs that improve their health, return them to school and enhance their overall wellbeing. The ART FROM THE HEART Celebrity Art Auction & Benefit features art from celebrities and local artist that want to make a difference in our community. The event and auction raises needed funds to support the programs that keep youth in school and off drugs and alcohol.
