    The garniture with gilt bronze clock with woman reclining from her rocky perch above white porcelain clock face flanked by porcelain plaques painted with cherubs at play, inscribed to reverse Presented to Thomas W. Deston Esquire, BY THE WIDOW AND CHILDREN OF THE LATE LIEUT COLONEL FRANCIS RALPH WEST, formerly of H.M. 33rd Regiment, as a slight tribute of esteem and gratitude for unremitting kindness and attention, Henley on Thames 1853, the pair of four-light candelabra with arms as flowered stems rising from gilt bronze urn atop a base with porcelain cylinder painted ensuite with the clock.
