    A Neoclassical-Style Sienna Marble and Patinated Bronze Clock, 19th century
    28-3/4 inches high x 22 inches wide x 8-1/2 inches deep (73.0 x 55.9 x 21.6 cm)

    The bronze clock with figural Byzantine Emperor Justinien mounted to apex, reclining onto crumbling architectural standard housing clock face, figure clad in classic Roman battle dress, holding scroll reading "Justinien," ornate shield, helmet, and sword resting against standard, on slab of sienna marble to darted bronze molding, central marble frieze with bronze mount of laurel wreaths and swords adorning Roman state standard, exaggerated bronze acanthus leaf darting to border below, resting on marble platform, raised on scrolled bracket feet.
