    A French Gilt Bronze and Marble Figural Clock, Paris, France, circa 1870
    Marks: Baudoin a Paris
    13 inches high x 13-1/2 inches wide x 5-7/8 inches deep (33.0 x 34.3 x 14.9 cm)

    The clock surmounted by gilded torch-bearing putto floating on clouds, allegorical woman to side leaning in, down to squared marble clock case with foliate mounts to corners, porcelain face flanked by torch and peeping putto standing on quiver and arrow, down to ovular marble pedestal base, central plaque frieze of putti playing instruments, geometric banding to sides, raised on rounded feet with reeded banding.


    Condition Report*:

    Some mounts loose, crack to side mount near standing putto, crack to marble case, evidence of strengthening to cracks, chips to porcelain face near key barrels, chips and fleabites to marble base, two feet loose, some interior mechanism components may have been replaced, otherwise good condition; lot includes key. Heritage does not guarantee the working order or completeness of clock mechanisms.
