The casket having a gilt and gesso surface, lid with scrolled pediment form, foliage border to lid, cherub head mounts to sides of case, circular and ovoid opaque mirrored cutouts to case front and sides, beaded and foliage motif throughout case, raised on four paw feet.
Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000.
Opaqued glass panels are of later vintage, light chipping to gesso and wood, rubbing to gilding, light age-related cracking to surface, glass panels with losses to silvering, wormholing, paint to interior of later vintage, presenting well.
