    The painted enamel standing vase with ground of grotesque and arabesque designs framing classical scenes to concave surface of body and to the cartouches on both base and cover, silver gilt mounts at transition of domed foot to balustrade-form stem, from stem to body, scalloped rim of both cup and cover, cast finial of warrior holding free floating sword standing on textured ground, cream ground to interior of cup, base and cover with gold meandering line.

    Traditionally the maker's mark of a conjoined JW has been attributed to the Viennese goldsmith Jacob Wasserberger. However, recent research indicates that this mark is actually that of Leopold Weininger.
