    Description

    A PAIR OF CONTINENTAL CARVED IVORY FIGURES MOUNTED ON WOOD
    Maker unknown, probably Germany, circa 1880
    Unmarked
    8-1/4 inches high (21.0 cm)

    The two carved ivory figures of beggars, one with crutch and hand on shoulder bag and the other a bearded man with cane and hat in hand, both figures on wooden stands with back carved as tree beside a stone wall.

    Condition Report*: break and repair to leg of beggar with bag otherwise with minor crazing and surface cracks typical of ivory
