    The pocket watch having exterior case comprised of Dutch silver repousse frame with allegorical scenery, interior case housing verge escapement with porcelain dial to face with Roman numeral hour divisions and Arabic numeral minute divisions, face depicting townsfolk observing two balloons in flight.

    The illustration to the clock face depicts Andre Jacques Garnerin's parachute exploits over London on September 21, 1802.

    Lot is without key. Clock face dates to circa 1802 hain pin to case of later vintage exhibiting solder marks to interior case and marked for English sterling content, flaking to porcelain dial at catch release, light pitting to exterior case frame near pin opening, some contact rubbing to interior case, glass with some errant scratching, with wear commensurate with age and use.
