The cylindrical tankard with finely engraved crowned lion passant to the domed lid, thumb rest in the form of a lion sejant raised on a floral platform, C-ring handle with incised lozenge and hatching leading to foliage, fitted to the interior with wooden pegs, raised on three lion dormant-form feet.
Records indicate this was inventory number 3316 from the Hearst Corporation

Well worn with fair patina, light separation of banded border and the domed lid, missing element to the lion sejant's face and repair to it's foot, otherwise with surface wear indicative of age and use.
