Here is a very colorful Malachite specimen from Zacatecas, displaying a dense field of velvety green, radial sprays that line the interior of a starkly contrasting limonitic vug. Many of the sprays develop rounded, botryoidal contours, giving the interior a softly undulating topography. The richness of color and strong textural contrast make this an especially attractive specimen.
