Here is a remarkable and very rare cabinet specimen coming from one of the Xanda Mine's world-famous finds in 1968 that features a staggering, doubly-terminated Topaz crystal (reaching 6.6 x 3.8 centimeters in size) perched atop a matrix of Albite and Lepidolite, which is very seldom seen for these Topaz specimens; subsequently the matrix and part of the Topaz is coated in scintillating flecks of Lepidolite. While the Topaz has a gentle icy-blue color, the upper portion of the crystal has an extremely glassy, gem-like transparency and excellently refracts objects through the larger faces. Apart from the smoother, glass-like surface texture seen on many of the faces, the Topaz also has light etching along its side faces and edges.
