Preserved in striking reddish-brown, this fossilized leaf of Davidia antiqua offers a bold contrast against the pale stone matrix. A close relative of the modern "dove tree," the species is celebrated for its distinctive blossoms, linking this specimen to an enduring botanical lineage. The rounded form and central stem are clearly defined, with delicate surface textures that hint at the original venation.
