Description
Polished Grape Agate SphereMamuju, Sulawesi Barat Province (West Sulawesi Province)
Sulawesi (Celebes)
Indonesia
3.11 inches (7.89 cm) in diameter
This highly unusual "Grape Agate" sphere displays an engaging surface of tightly clustered, botryoidal formations rendered in soft lavender to pale violet tones. An irregular natural opening reveals a densely textured interior lined with rounded, grape-like aggregates, adding depth and visual intrigue to the spherical form. The contrast between the smoothly contoured exterior and the richly detailed cavity creates a dynamic and sculptural presentation. Subtle variations in color and crystal size enhance the specimen's organic character and underscore its uncommon nature. This unusual Chalcedony sphere stands out as a distinctive and conversation-worthy addition to any mineral collection or display.
