A dark fusion crust, accented by flashes of silvery metal, lends this 61.68-gram fragment of the Gebel Kamil Iron Meteorite a haunting brilliance under shifting light. Its jagged surface and contorted ridges preserve the violent energy of an impact that struck Egypt's desert nearly 5,000 years ago, scattering molten fragments across the landscape. Each ridge and fracture captures a moment of that explosive force, frozen into sculptural permanence.
