Description
Polished Charoite CubeMurunskii Massif, Chara and Tokko Rivers Confluence
Aldan Shield, Sakha Republic (Yakutia)
Russia
2.00 x 1.99 x 1.99 inches (5.08 x 5.06 x 5.06 cm)
This polished cube of Charoite displays the distinctive swirling interplay of lavender, violet, and black characteristic of material from the Murun Massif in Siberia, Russia-the only known source of this rare silicate mineral. The intricate fibrous patterning produces a soft chatoyant effect that shifts subtly under light, emphasizing the stone's natural depth and movement. Valued for both striking coloration and limited geographic origin, Charoite remains one of the most sought-after decorative minerals. This example represents a fine specimen of exceptional rarity and undeniable aesthetic appeal.
