In 2000, Supreme, a six-year-old skate brand at the time, found itself on the receiving end of a cease-and-desist letter from the iconic luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton. Fast forward seventeen years, and the two brands made fashion history by collaborating on a groundbreaking collection, unveiled at the prestigious Le Palais Royal in Paris as part of Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2017 Menswear show.

The collection featured hats, t-shirts, and skate decks-items that had previously sparked legal action-now adorned with Louis Vuitton's iconic monogram pattern in Supreme's signature red alongside LV's classic black and brown.

Under the leadership of Louis Vuitton's creative director Kim Jones and Supreme's founder James Jebbia, this collaboration marked a groundbreaking moment in fashion, seamlessly blending streetwear and luxury. Dubbed "Friends and Heroes," the collection was described by Louis Vuitton as "a celebration of New York street style and Louis Vuitton's French savoir-faire."
