    An Exquisite French 18K and Vari-Gold, Enamel, Seed Pearl, Diamond and Ruby Pocket Watch with Ballooning Motif, circa 1790

    The watch with obverse having beaded seed pearl border framing vari-colored gold clock face, hour designations in Roman numerals and blued minute and hour hands, engraved map of the world to center cartouche, reverse with natural seed pearl border framing cobalt blue enameled ground with balloon comprising of alternating bands of mine cut diamonds and rubies.

    Condition Report*: Lot includes winding key, movement unmarked, case tests for 18K Tiny sliver flake to enamel underneath basket possibly inherent to manufacture, one diamond missing to flag. Heritage does not guarantee the working order or completeness of watch mechanisms.
