    A Fine Louis XV-Style Gilt and Patinated Bronze Figural Mantle Clock with Fox Hunting Motif, late 19th century
    18-1/2 h x 22 w x 9-5/8 d inches (47.0 x 55.9 x 24.4 cm)

    The clock surmounted by patinated bronze putto blowing hunting horn, gilt bronze body embellished with oversized scrollwork and floral garlands throughout, two birds with outstretched wings flanking center case above arches, below with dogs issuing from arch voids entrapping fox to center, below to apron set to center with animal mask to apron, all raised on turned under scrolled arms mounted with patinated bronze sea turtles feet; interior fitted with Japy Freres movement.

    Condition Report*: Light rubbing, replaced mounting screw to fox to underside, glass pane missing to clock face cover, turtle feet with slight bending, presenting well with wear commensurate with age and use; lot is devoid of pendulum and key.
