    A Fine French Sevres-style Porcelain and Gilt Bronze Mantle Clock

    Unknown maker, French
    Circa 1870-1890
    Porcelain with polychrome enamel and gilt decoration, gilt bronze, enamel, glass
    Marks: dial inscribed: MONBRO FILS AINE, ACQUIER A PARIS18.5 inches high x 17 inches wide

    The shaped case with rounded ends, mounted with bleu celeste ground porcelain plaques decorated with amorous couples in landscapes, on shaped base raised on toupee feet, the dial surmounted by two cherub figures.
