Jean Jacques Swebach was at the Manufacture Royale de Sevres, and worked at the Imperial Porcelain Factory from 1815-1820, training Russian artists. (cf, pp 69) The gilding is by Denis Moreau. The reverse inscribed: "Kosaques de la Mer Noir - Swebach - Dit - Fo[n]taines - Invenit et fecit 1816" overglaze gilt "Décor MO"
