    A MONUMENTAL HOLLAND EARTHENWARE WALL PLATE
    1895-1905
    Marks: painted factory mark, no. 827, and G
    20-1/2 inches (52.0 cm) diameter

    LITERATURE:
    Cf. M. Heslenfeld, exh. cat., De Collectie Holland, Art Nouveau Ceramiek van de NV Faience - en Tegelfabriek "Holland" te Utrecht 1894-1918, Zwolle, 2006, pp. 57 and 69, figs. 307 and 78, for similar examples with lotus flowers.

    Condition Report*: Good but for two hairlines to the rim (largest ca. 5cm long) and a small unobtrusive firing crack (width ca. 1.5cm) to the heart of the central sunflower.
