A DANISH 'FLORA DANICA' TUREENRoyal Copenhagen, mid-Twentieth Century
Comprising a tureen, lid and underplate; the Humulus Lupulus L. 'common hops' decorated oval underplate, the decoration to the trough, characteristic pink ground pearl border within a gilt edged serrated rim, the underside unglazed, model number 3561; together with Trifolium hybridum L 'alsike clover' and Cichorium Intybus L. 'chicory' externally decorated oval tureen, pink ground pearl border within a gilt smooth edge, brown, green and ochre twig handle with multicolor flower terminals, model number 3560; with Lathyrus silvester B platyphyllus Rets. 'narrow-leaved everlasting pea' decorated domed lid with pink ground pearl border within a gilt edged smooth rim, a brown, green and ochre twig handle with multicolored flower terminals, model number 3560, all stamped underglaze in green Royal Copenhagen Denmark
