Signed, titled in pencil and with "50 Commerce Street, New York 14" stamp on verso. Signed in pencil on mat recto. PROVENANCE:
By descent from a close friend and supporter of Berenice Abbott.

To help Berenice Abbott get her work more widely known this friend helped put together an exhibition at the International Center of Photography, NY, which ran from Nov. 22, 1981 to Jan. 10, 1982 entitled Berenice Abbott: The '20s and the '30s. This exhibition then traveled to the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institute, Washington D.C., from June 4 to Aug. 29, 1982. Then in 1988 they worked together on another exhibition, Berenice Abbott's New York: Photographs of the 30's and 40's, at the Heckscher Museum of Art, Huntington, NY.

Condition Report*: In overall excellent condition. Hinged to 14 x 17 inch mat with two small pieces of linen tape in the upper corners verso.
