    Mei marks to front of tang: Seishu ju TenUnZan Fujiwara Motomichi Saku, (made by Motomichi Fujiwara of Mie Prefecture, artist TenUnZan)
    Mei marks to reverse of tang: Heisei Ju nen Ku gatsu Kissho nichi (Auspicious day, September, 1998)
    39-1/8 inches long (99.4 cm) (blade and tang)

    Registration Number: 48605 issued by Mie Prefecture Board of Education
    Registration Date: November 17th 1998

    Katana housed in lacquered saya with iron kojiri. Tsuba is of earlier vintage than sword (Edo period).


    Condition Report*: Iron tsuba is of older vintage and exhibits age-related rusting, blade with some scratches yet razor-sharp.
