Lisa Hammel is a writer and editor whose work, appearing throughout the 1970s and 80s in Antiques World and the New York Times helped expand the public awareness of the evolutions taking place in the world of design and craft which she followed closely. These cut optical forms utilized fine crystal manufactured by the Corning Glass Scientific Division, which Littleton used in his North Carolina studio. They were developmental works for a large scale commission he was creating for the Corning Museum.
