Museum-Quality Mochica IV Fine Line Painted Stirrup Vessel

Masterpiece-quality painting, showing a lord/ king seated on a throne inside a palace, resting on a platform. He wears a jaguar face mask and jaguar tunic. Attending to the lord are Casqui warriors, and the entire scene is surrounded by images of sea creatures, birds, jaguars, etc. Excellent overall condition. The spout was broken and reattached, as is often the case, and there has been a little very minor work on a couple of stress cracks, none of which seriously affects the desirability. The finest fine line painted vessel we have handled.
