    This lot is accompanied by a photo-certificate of authenticity signed and dated October 20, 1981 by Michel Kellermann.


    Condition Report*: Lined canvas. A very few scattered pinpoint losses. Small scattered areas of loss along the lower edge. Stretcher has shifted in the frame, causing a sliver of backing support to be visible at extreme upper and left edges. Pronounced craquelure throughout.
    Under UV: A thinly applied layer of varnish fluoresces green unevenly. Scattered dots and dashes of finely applied retouching in the upper two-thirds of the painting, particularly in the upper left quadrant. Those in the latter area produce a slight variation in surface texture which is visible to the naked eye under raking light upon close inspection.
