    AN AMERICAN SILVER AND SILVER GILT CHILD'S BOWL
    Whiting Manufacturing Company, North Attleboro, Massachusetts, circa 1885
    Marks: (W with griffin), STERLING, 92A, THEODORE B. STARR
    3-1/4 inches high x 5-1/4 inches diameter (8.3 x 13.3 cm) 13.03 troy ounces

    The straight sided bowl with cast applied figures of flute playing children on acid etched scrolled leaf ground, with cast leaf scalloped rim, raised on conforming foot, gilt interior; inscribed on the bottom Ethel, Labriskie, April 22, 1887. Originally retailed by Theodore B. Starr of New York, New York.
