STEVIE TATE (American, 20th Century)
    20th Century
    Acrylic on panel
    36 x 24 inches (91.4 x 61.0 cm)

My process is a fusion of spirituality and energy, delivering the truth through surrealism, and explosiveness. From manipulating the composition of the paint and using the ambient temperature - humidity I allow the painting to become what it was meant to be.

Looking at my art is like looking at a spider web or the night skies. Every square inch is different; it begs you to look closer, to touch it.

It is intended to be thought provoking and mood altering. When I paint, I see that the possibilities are as endless as the magnitude of the eternal expansiveness of the art itself. I Look beyond everything I've been taught or believed, to be able to see reality in a completely different way with no beginnings and no ends.

My art is my respect for life. From the inception of life to the eternity of life, always seeking the purity of truths and revelations, bound by no conventional wisdom only the limitations of the ability to explain. Love ~+~

    About Dallas Challenge

Dallas Challenge was founded in 1984 when concerned civic leaders came together to identify and address a critical need - adolescent substance abuse. Today, there are still youth from our community dealing with this and other critical issues like truancy - issues that are negatively affecting their futures. Since inception Dallas Challenge has helped over 147,000 youth in programs that improve their health, return them to school and enhance their overall wellbeing. The ART FROM THE HEART Celebrity Art Auction & Benefit features art from celebrities and local artist that want to make a difference in our community. The event and auction raises needed funds to support the programs that keep youth in school and off drugs and alcohol. Dallas Challenge
