    each painted in red and dark brown over a creamy white slip, the first with a series of three heartline deer, alternating with hooked feather motifs, about the body; the second, with solid and hatched geometric devices descending from the fluted rim, dark brown underbody

    Diameters: 5 inches and 6 ½ inches

    Estimate: $1,200 - $1,800.

    Condition Report*:

    The first, in overall good condition.  Two cracks, one approx. 1 1/2", the other approx. 2 3/4" in length, descending from the rim.  Four small holes drilled into the base.  Surface with usual wear, including a couple of dings and some loss to slip.  No apparent restoration.  The second,  in overall fair condition.  One crack, approx. 7" in length running from the rim to the base (glue repair apparent on the interior).  Surface with usual wear, including dings and abrasions, some affecting the painted design.  Surface also with crazing and light soiling.
