Group of Two Jalisco and One Veracruz Figures

    Jalisco and Veracruz
    C. 200 BC and 800 AD
    7¾" to 8¾" Tall

An interesting collection including a Jalisco flat 'gingerbread' type figure with a large round face, elongated nose, and tall hair panel. She has heavy encrustations and deposits, and is well repaired from a few pieces and appears excellent. The seated Jalisco 'Sheep Face' figure is an out of the norm example as the woman sits with the legs tucked to the side, wearing tall bundled headdress and wears a cloak surrounding her back and part of the front. A scarce depiction. Figure is in solid condition with surface erosion exposing the gray core and the backside with a series of ancient scrapes. Last, a nicely detailed mold made Veracruz priest wearing a tall headdress, chubby face, large shirt, ear ornaments, and with a whistle incorporated into the headdress. Figure is heavily encrusted and in solid condition and great patina.
