    six albumen images on original mounts, each bear period ink script ID on verso as follows in sequence: "Bear Island Chief Mah-ji-gob-bow"; "Bug-ah-ga-ge-shig Chief Warrior in Battle at Sugar Point in Leech Lake, Walker, Minn. Oct. 5 1898. The only unconquered Indian in the U. S."; "Old Bug, Red Hair and Family"; "Mrs. Bungo and grand child"; No written ID but obviously Mrs. Bungo and grandchild with two unidentified figures; and "Loading of Canoes for supplies at Walker, Minn."; together with a cabinet card, on original mount, of a Great Lakes baby in magnificently beaded cradle board. An important and historic grouping.

    Dimensions: albumen images, 6 ½ x 8 ½ each; mounts, 9 x 11 inches each; and cabinet card, image, 4 x 5 ½, mount, 4 ¼ x 6 ½ inches
