The poster/photograph accompanying this lot was taken by Christian Barthelmess in 1889 in a camp just west of Fort Keough, Montana, on the Yellowstone River. Pictured on the far left is Stump Horn, one of the Cheyenne scouts who served with Lt. Edward Casey, 22nd Infantry, U.S. Army.
