Reportedly made for Lucy Yellow Hawk Wilson by her aunt, Lucy Two Lances. Wilson was the daughter of Fred Yellow Hawk Wilson and the granddaughter of Bears Lariat. The dress was obtained from Emil Curtis's family of Clinton, OK by Paul Armstrong and sold to Forrest Fenn. Purchased by the current owner from the Forrest Fenn Gallery, Santa Fe in 1981.
