This lot is accompanied by a letter from James Putt Thompson, dated November 22, 1995, which states: "Crow Loop Necklace Beaded-1870's vintage. Art Keres collection from Crow Agency, Montana. Collected December 22, 1922 by Art Keres Pawn as described in copy from his own hand. Pawn from George Curley, [adopted] son of famed Scout Curley." Also included is a faint photocopy of the original ledger with listing: G. Curley, Old Loop Necklace, 1.00; Beaded pipe bag, 1.50
