Tree resin can provide the most unique and superb manner of fossilization, effectively trapping a living creature in the thick and sticky substance for all time. This example of yellowish Amber from Myanmar offers an irregular shape, a typical polish, and lots of inclusions. However, it is its very rare and unusual primary resident that makes it a true wonder. A lizard has been preserved in the 3-gram specimen with an identifiable skeleton that fills much of the hardened suspension. The prehistoric reptile is not totally complete but the body and limbs are surprisingly intact and result in a wonderful fossil. A custom wood presentation box of significant size with an exquisite carving of a lizard on the lid accompanies the piece.
