This specimen of polished fossilized tree resin from the Dominican Republic would be a fabulous specimen without any inclusions, as it has a naturally artistic shape, a rich coloration, and a base that allows it to rest securely on any flat surface. Of course, this specimen weighing 83.4 grams is the home to something special. A trio of termites permanently inhabits this representation, which is highly dimensional and fully polished over the entirety. This smooth organic offering is a perfect hand specimen and even has a subtle "dimple" on one face, about the right size for a thumbprint.
