At just over 1 gram in weight, this specimen of Burmite from Myanmar still has a relatively large surface area. The piece has a nice oval form, a very flat shape, and an intense water clarity. An exquisite association is the real treasure of this unique fossil with a spider and a katydid nearly adjacent, in this preserved ancient scene. While likely just coincidental, and not an example of actual predation, the duo offers immense opportunities for interpretation. An additional bonus consists of a homoptera nymph rounding out the trio of inclusions alongside the mygalomorph spider and bush cricket featured in this ancient diorama dating back to the Cretaceous Period.
