An ideal golden-yellow coloration, exceptional clarity, and substantial size all accurately describe this impressive piece of Dominican Amber weighing a robust 31.4 grams. The organic-shaped but wonderfully polished example contains an uncommon leaf, an unidentified beetle, and numerous other inclusions including unidentified flies and small parasitic wasps. This is a "smorgashboard" of animal and plant life, preserved in fossilized tree resin. This specimen measures over 3 inches (7.6 cm) and is rather dimensional, so it can be enjoyed held in hand, not just under a microscope.
